EUREKA FUNCTION.

BURPRIBE PARTY. A very jolly party was taken to the Hinton homestead on Saturday evening in the form of a surprise gift e\ening to honour Miss Olive Simpson and Mr John Cole, whose wedding will take place shortly. A very happy time was spent in music, cards and competitions. After supper Miss Simpson opened the many parcels, for which Mr Cole returned thanks.

A very enjoyable evening endedAvitn the singing of “For they are jolly good fellows.”

Among those present were:—Mesdames Luxton, Shine, C. Masters, J McLennan, L. Masters.
