HAPPY EVENING.
PLEABANT TIIVIE SPENT. A very enjoyable celebration was held at the State Casino on Saturday evening, when Mr and Mrs T. J. McLaughlin entertained a number of their friends on the occasion of their wedding anniversary. The hostess wore a fitting ivory lace frock trimmed with plaited silver lame.
Among those present were:—Mesdames H. McDonald (Auckland wearing royal satin beaute; E. Hunter (Ngaruawahia . pink crepe soliel Cole Te Kauwhata,. peach flat crepe H. McLaren, burgundy tinsel cloque M. Keenan, \iolet souple satin.
Misses B. Batten, black satin beaute; M. Choat. black and scarlet net and satin; G. Bell , Ngaruawahia U royal chiffon velvet; T. Gunn, ivory taffetas; S. SlyQeld, peach ring velvet, vet.
