CARDS AND PING PONG.

TOURNAMENT AT NGARUA. There was a good attendance at the card and ping-pong tournament held in the Xgarua Hall recently in aid of the hall funds. Deck tennis and quoits added to the enjoyment of the evening. The monthly prizes for the best aggregate scores went to Mrs W. Scott and Mr L. Pipe, while the winners for the evening’s five hundred tournament were Mrs H. A. Pikett and Mr P. VV. Davis. The prize winners of the pingpong were:—Miss J. Daisley (ladies’ handicap singles), Mr L. W. Davis (men’s handicap singles), Messrs B. Daisley and B. Scott (handicap doubles). The latter part of the evening was spent in dancing, the music being supplied by Messrs B. Daisley and M. Donovan. Messrs J. Greenville arvd H. A. 7'ikett were M.’sC.
