HOCKEY.

PIAKO REPRESENTATIVES. PROPOSED TARANAKI TOUR. (Special to Times.) MOHRINSVILLE, Tuesday. The Piako Hockey Association met at Morrlnsville last evening, Mr A. G. Yardley (president), presiding. Tho Invitation of the Taranaki Hockey Association to send a team to play three games In Taranaki was accepted. The Piako team will play at Hawera on June 17, Stratford on June 18. and New Plymouth on June 20. It is hoped to send as many young players as possible to give them experience. Last year Piako entertained a team of Taranaki colts, a keen game ending In a draw, two goals all. Congratulations were extended to Miss Ida Campbell, a Piako ladies’ representative player, on her success in winning the New Zealand ladies athletic championship. On Saturday a men's seven-a-slde tournament will bo played at the Mangateparu ground.
