SURPRISE PARTY.

TE AWAMUTU EVENING. A surprise party in the form of a “kitchen evening” was tendered Miss Thelma Adams and Mr William Craig, at the residence of Mrs E. Adams, at To Awamutu, recently, on the occasion of their approaching marriage. Dancing, music and community singing were enjoyed, music being supplied by Miss R. Greenwood, Miss K. Prince and Mrs H. A. Bennett. Songs were given by Misses A. Ilastie and B. Spiers. A dainty supper was served, after which the many gifts were opened. Mr Craig suitably responded.

The evening closed with the sing ing of Auld Lang Sync.
