Following a meeting of the Borough Jubilee Entertainments Committee a deputation waited on the Cambridge Trotting Club, when it was agreed that it would be preferable to bold the suggested race meeting on 1 the Saturday before the jubilee. Mr C. H. Priestley said it would be difficult to arrange the race meeting on Saturday, August 22 (the jubilee period being from August 19 to 23). The members or the Trotting Club executive agreed with the suggestion of the deputation. The trotting secretary, Mr T. 11.
