WEDDINGS.
KEMP-ROBINSON. The marriage was solemnised at the Baptist Church, Hamilton, on the afternoon of May 2, between Rosamund Havergal, only daughter of Mrs and the late Mr O. R. Robinson, of Hamilton, and William Roland, younger son of Mr J. and the late Mrs Kemp, of Waihi. The Rev. G. C. Reay performed the ceremony and Mr I. Newman presided at the organ. The church had been very beautifully arranged with bowls of chrysanthemums, zinnias and asparagus fern and a large white floral bell hung over the bridal party. A solo was sung by Miss Ruby Sutherland.
The bride who was given away by her cousin, Mr R. A. Davison, of Wellington, looked very charming wearing a lovely gown of ivory satin cut on Pi-incess lines with deep shoulder yoke caught to the bodice with two rows of faggotting. The bodice was fashioned with long sleeves with finely pleated inset falling fully from the shoulder yoke and fitting tightly at the wrist, and high roll collar, while a long plaited girdle defined the waistline. The skirt was slit at front and back to show the finely pleated trained underskirt, the flowing side panels also sweeping back to form a graceful train. She wore a very beautiful veil of ivory embroidered tulle falling from a coronet of orange blossom and worn over the face, and carried a sheaf of white chrysanthemums, zinnias and white and palest pink gerberas.
The bridesmaids were the Misses Jyce Wycherley and Phyllis Aiken. They wore similar frocks of pale peach pink windswept marocain cut on Victorian lines with full pleated sleeves caught in at the wrist and large felt picture hats to tone. They carried bouquets of pale peach pink zinnias, chrysanthemums and gerberas and wore pearl necklets, the gift of the bridegroom. On leaving the church the bride was presented with a horseshoe by Miss Joan Cherrie. Mr M. Pitcher, of Waihi, was the best man, and Mr F. Hayward, of Waihi, groomsman. Mr. J. Woodward acted as usher. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Centreway Rooms, which looked delightful with pink nerines and asparagus fern. The guests were received by Mrs Robinson, mother of the bride, who wore a smart navy costume with navy velour hat and furs. She carried a posy of red zinnias and gerberas. Solos were given during the breakfast by Miss Lorna Clark and were very greatly appreciated. When Mr and Mrs W. R. Kemp left by car for a honeymoon tour of the Hawkes Bay and Taranaki districts, the bride travelled wearing an attractive wine coloured two-piece suit, with large hat to tone, black accessories and lovely fur stole, the gift of the bridegroom. They will make their home at Waihi Beach.

The marriage was solemnised on k April 18 at St. Peter’s Cathedral, Ham- [€ ilton, between Phyllis Olga, only k daughter of Mrs A. Tolley, of Hamilie ton, and Robert Archabald, only son of Mr J. Baillie, Frankton. The Very Rev. Dean Weatherhog performed the ceremony and Mr Sims played the wedding music. 3 - The bride, who was escorted by her uncle, Mr Currie, looked charming wearing a beautiful gown of Ivory satin with cowl neckline and long cowl sleeves. The flounced train was finished with pearls and a horseshoe, and her veil was arranged from a Juliet cap of orange blossom and fell in graceful folds to the ground. She carried a sheaf of lilies. The bridesmaids, Misses Doreen Currie (cousin of the bride) Shirley Lim'burn and Mavis Dwen, wore frocks •in Marina green lace and georgette, slim fitting, and gold silk tulle and Satin Marcelle-Varden hats. They carried gold tinted sheaves of chrysanthemums .and maidenhair fern. Patricia Matheison was the little flower girl j and wore a dainty frock in Marina I green georgette' with gold headdress ! and carried a gold tinted posy. ! The best man was Mr N. Jackson I and Messrs E. Tolley and D. Harvy were groomsmen. The reception was held at the Centreway Rooms where the tables were beautifully decorated in green and gold. The three tier wedding cake was made by the bride's mother. The bride’s mother received the guests, wearing a model gown of black georgette and pink embossed lace, with large black and pink picture hat. She carried a bouquet of pink carnations. The bridegroom’s mother was wearing sories to tone and carried a bouquet of autumn coloured flowers. When Mr and Mrs R. A. Baillie left for their honeymoon the bride travj elled wearing a smart blackberry cos- | fume with hat to match and beautiful fo.\ furs.
