LOWER NOTE ISSUE. \VELLINGTON, Thursday. The Reserve Bank return for the week ended Monday, May 11, was 'gazetted to-night. The statement is balanced at $28,919,532. or £71,730 more than at the close of the previous week. The note issue. which showed a [smell recovery in the last return from the fall experienced after Easter, is again lower, by £122,800. Government deposits have increased by £437,956, while the holdings of the trading banks are £201,408 lower. Other demand liabilities have fallen £42,927. The principal movement on the assets side is an increase of £70,801 in the item other assets. Sterling exchange shows the negligible full of £299 on the level of the week before.
