Exchanges from Copenhagen assert that the orew of the' ship Brentvaag has lodged a claim for compensation from the Norwegian Government In connection with the finding of the bodies of Andree and his companions, declaring that it was they who actually found the bodies, not the Horn Scientiflee Expedition, whose White Island work had been -finished when the remains were discovered. REWARD TO EXPEDITION. IDENTIFIED BY ENGAGEMENT RING (Received September 6. 12.20 p.m.) LONDON, September 5. A message from Tromsoe states the Arctic Sea Office has placed 40,000 kroner at the disposal of the owner of the Bratvaak for distribution among the crew and members of the scientific expedition aboard the vessel. The Commission which is examining the remains states that no trace of Fraenkel has been found. Strindberg’s engagement ring helped to identify him. His body, wrapped In a Swedish flag, was sent back to his native land on August 4, the anniversary of his birthday. The objects found total 200.
