The lights at the radio exhibition at the Sydney Town Hail wer© switched on by means of wireless by Marchese Marco.il from his yacht Elettra In Genoa Harbour. The Marchese spoke briefly, congratulating Australia on first telephonic communication with light. ROME, March 27. There was a tense moment In the Elettra’s crowded cabin when Marconi pressed the telegraph key and awaited a voice from Sydney to announce lights on at the radio exhibition at the Town Hall. The Marchese’s face was wreathed with smiles. He said t the success of the experiment was particularly important, as it points to the time when electric power will bo transmitted direct through the air in any direction and quan«tity desired.
