HEAZLEWOOD FOR AUCKLAND. WILL PLAY FOR MANUKAU. (By Telegraph—Special to Times.) AUCKLAND, AVednesday. L. Heazlcwood, North Island fullback, who is on transfer from Wellington to Newmarket railway workshops for four months, will play for Alanukau, Falwasser’s old club.

THE ANNUAL MEETING. There was a large at the annual meeting of the Morrinsville Rugby Union. Mr W. Hogg presided. The following delegates were present: —Kereone (Messrs W. Hogg, W. J. Neels and F. Thomas), Terriers (Messrs L. E. Pole, H. G. McCombe and I-I. A. Pirrit), United (Messrs. J. H. Ford, W. Dench, and G. McDavitt), Tatuanui (Messrs C. Sing, F. J. Shirley and T. Colson), Te Puninga (Mr. H. Skiffington), Springdale (Mr J. H. Wills), Referees' Association (Mr W. Moxsom). The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £212 13s lOd In the general account and a credit of £lB lis Id in the Insurance fund. The- chairman took the opportunity to thank all who assisted the Union in various ways. The Kereone Club was lo be congratulated on its success in the senior and junior competitions and the High School on winning the third-grade competition. The Union was financially strong, as shown by the- balance sheet. The election of officers resulted: — Patron, Mr J. B. Thomas; president, Mr W. Hogg; vice-presidents, Mrs F. j. Marshall and Mr T. A. Colson; secretary, Mr C. H. Mclntyre; treasurer, Air. 13. -Chapman; auditor, Mr. D. Mulcahy; - management committee, Messrs L. E. Pole, J. H. Ford, T. A. Colson, C. Sing, F. Thomas, and G. M. G. McDavitt; senior selector, Mr. Melhavitt; classification committee, Messrs Hogg, Chapman and Ford; honorary surgeon, Dr. S. Morrow.

Moxsom; vice-pre-sidents, Messrs C. McDavitt ancl W. J. Neels; secretary and treasurer, Mr H A. Pirrit; general committee, Messrs W. Marwood, W. Hogg, B. Chapman, and the president; delegate to Morrinsville Rugby Union, Mr W. Moxsom; delegates to the Waikato Referees’ Association, Messrs B. Chapman and E. W. Seville. It was decided to forward the names of Messrs W. Hogg and H. A. Pirrit to the Morrinsville Rugby Union, to act with one of the Union’s members as an appointment committee to appoint the referees for matches. An honorarium of £2 2s was granted to the secretary. The questions of referees’ uniforms was discussed, and it was decided to recommend the Rugby Union to purchase woollen jerseys when providing new jerseys for referees. The examination of referees and their attendance at the meetings of Hi c Waikato Referees’ Association were questions discussed, members agreeing that they were both useful institutions and should be supported. It was decided to enter a senior team for the competitions and to accept the application of the Te Puninga as a junior team. The election of officers resulted: — Patron, Mr. A. Crowe; president, Mr. J. Hart; vice-presidents, Messrs. A. Colson, C. Sing, G. Russell, J. E. Hillary and F. J. Shirley; secretary and ■treasurer, Mr. 1.. Woodley; delegates to the Morrinsville Rugby Union, Messrs. Colson, Sing and Shirley; social committee, Messrs. J. Welch, R. Young, I. Russell and D. Donald, with power to add; sole selector, Mr. F. J. Shirley. The secretary was instructed to try and arrange a practice match with Terriers on March 20. A number of new members was elected. The annual subscription was fixed at 7s Gd. A hearty vole of thanks to the outgoing committee and the chair was carried by acclamation.
