PROVINCIAL TOURNAMENT. PLAY* ON HAMILTON LAWNS. CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES. The play in connection with the South Auckland championship croquet tournament was continued on the Hamilton Club's lawns to-day, when further games were decided. The championship singles and doubles competitions were commenced on the Frankton lawns to-day, and several games were completed. The latest results are as follows: — Handicap Doubles. Mesdames Hargreaves and Salisbury 17. 'Mesdames Belgrave and Dillicar 26 v. Mesdames Curling and Munro 10. Mesdames Howe and Newman 26 v. Mesdames O’Brien and Wigzell 23. Mesdames Coom'bes and Kibblewhite 26 v. Mesdames Bliss and Hepburn 13.

The championship singles and championship doubles matches in connection with the annual tournament ‘of the South Auckland Croquet Clubs were commenced at the Frankton Club’s greens to-day. The lawns were in splendid order and the numerous entries drew a fair gallery of spectators. The following were the results of games played up to the time of going to press:— Championship Doubles. Mesdames Pearson and Tucker 26 beat Mesdames Kibblewhite and Combes 19. Mesdames Evans and Bartlett 26 beat Mesdames Bellgrave and Dillicar 10. Mesdames Evans and Bartlett 26 beat Mesdames Hepburn and Bliss 12.
