DANGEROUS DRIVING.
MAN SENT TO GAOL. TWO PREVIOUS CONVICTIONS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., Monday. A sentence of’one month's imprisonment with hard labour, without the option of a fine, was imposed on Frederick Chesham, farmer, by Mr Stout, S.M., on a charge of driving in a manner, dangerous lo the public in Feathersldn Street. For driving without a license a further penalty of £l, with costs, was inflicted. Defendant had been previously convicted twice for dangerous driving. SUICIDE AT HAWERA. FACTORY MANAGER DEAD. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) HAWERA, Monday. Late last evening the body of Fdererick George Peters, of Hawera, manager of a brush factory, was found in a gas-iilled room in the factory building. On Saturday morning deceased left bis home, stating that he was going to Stratford on business. As lie failed to return a search was made of Hie factory by neighbours, who discovered Peters lying on the Jloor of a room. Deceased leaves a wife and you/ig family of four.
