MOTOR COLLISION.

WOMAN’S LEG BROKEN. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WAIPUKURAU, Monday. Airs W. 11. Gilchrist, of Waipukurau, sustained a fractured leg and abrasions as a result of a motor-lorry driven by her husband being involved in a-collo-sion with a motor-car driven by Donald Hepburn, of Greenmeadows, near Waipawa. The other occupants of the lorry were thrown clear, escaping serious injury. Both vehicles were considerably damaged. In endeavouring to avoid the wrecked vehicle on the road a following car, driven by Harry Ruthbone, a resident of Waipawa, applied the brakes, causing the car lo skid into a ditch and capsize, landing on ils hood. The driver and three passengers escaped with bruises and abrasions.
