DROUGHT BREAKS.
HEAVY RAIN FALLS. Heavv rain fell throughout Waikato to-day." Although* this will be of great benefit to gardens, there was hardly sufficient to be of much advantage to the pastures, which are now beginning to look dry and arc in need of a good soaking. The countryside could do with a steady fall exlending oxer several days. The sky is still very overcast, ancl more rain seems probable.
