The Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates, Leader of the Opposition, left Auckland for Wellington last evening to attend the Empire Farmers’ Conference. Mr \Y. Lee Martin, M.P. for Raglan, left Hamilton for Wellington last evening. (Mr Joseph Milne, of Napier, is on a visit to Hamilton. Mr W. F. Garden, of Melbourne, general manager for Australasia of the Distillery Co., Ltd., is at the Hamilton Hotel. Archdeacon and Mrs- Russell, of Oamaru, will leave for Sydney by the Marama on Friday to join the I>. and U. liner Balranald for England. The former Australian Minister of Defence, Sir Neville llowsc, and his family arrived in London on Saturday. He refused to comment on conditions in Australia. He said he was on holiday indefinitely, and did not contemplate re-entering politics. Dr. Haslelt (Putaruru). Messrs WII. Johnston, H. Perkins, E. G. Hudgens, W. W. Warnock, A. Brooks (Auckland), G. Rutherford, L. Taylor, W. Appleton (Wellington), Sandford Wedding), Nolan (New Plymouth), and .1. L. Ncrgette (Napier) are at the Hamilton HoteL ,
