THROWN FROM A HORSE.
YOUTH SERIOUSLY INJURED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., Thursday. At the Uroua Downs sports meeting George Lamb, aged 17, was thrown from a horse during the pony leaping competition, owing to the animal striking the rail of a hurdle. He was removed to Palmerston North Hospital in an unconscious condition, suffering from concussion. To-day he has partially recovered consciousness.
