At a meeting of the Piako County Council to-day a resolution was passed that other county councils be informed of the Magistrate's'decision to the effect that a motor travelling at 40 miles per hour did not endanger the safety of the public, and drawing attention to the fact that the Automobile Association is acting against the objects of the council to stop undue speeding in taking members’ subscriptions from country settlers and using the money to hack up motorists in fast travelling to the detriment of country roads.
