PUBLIC PROSECUTIONS.

THE NEW DIRECTOR. IVJR E. H- T. ATKINSON. (Oflicial Wireless.) RUGBY, March 12. The Home Secretary has appointed Mr Edward Hall Tindal Atkinson Director of Public Prosecutions, in place of Sir Archibald Bodkin, who will retire on pension. Mr E. 11. T. Atkinson, C.8.E., barrister at law, is a judge of the County Courts and is 57 years of age. He was called to the Bar in 1902. During the war he was Assistant-Secretary to tlie War Trade Advisory and the Civil Aeriel Transport Committee. He attended the Peace Conference in France in 1919 in an oflicial capacity, and also the International Air Commission in the same year.
