SALE OF THOROUGHBREDS.

Messrs Hunter and Nolan submitted by auction at the Durham Yards to-day four yearlings, bred by Major George, and a number of other thoroughbreds. Tho following sales were effected on behalf of Mr George Wright;—b g Cynical, by Cynic, fl guineas, Mr A. Chapman ; b m Louie, bv Leo! in us--"Veil ns Transit, 12 guineas, Mr A. E. Price ; b in Aconite, by Derby—Occult, 41 guineas, Mr Ash ; br g Marquis, by King Cole—Queen Mab, 75 guineas, Mr Cane. Van Diemen, Acone and Stanmore were passed in. Major George's yearlings were submitted as follows :—Che-tnut filly by Nelson -Tenambra, started at HO guineas, and by small bids reached G2 guineas, at which figure she became the propnr'.y of Mr Geo, Simpkins 'if Whakatnne ; filly, by Nelson—The Maid, was started at 60 guineas and was even'udlv bought I>v Mr A. Au tin at 70 guineas ; colt, bv Nelson—Florence, was passed in at 30 guineas (a bnver was subsequently in trsaty privately) ; filly, Nelson—Memphis was passed at 80 guineas. Major George's Berlin, a trott6r was sold to Mr Mcßride for 25 guineas. The other lots were brown mare by King Cole —Mind of Erin, 15 guinea', Mr Chapman ; brown horse Taivvhana 13 guineas, Mr Ar.uitage, brood mare, Duchess, by Musket 19 guineas. All the other stock offered failed to find buyers.
