BOND'S WAIKATO ALMANAC

We have been favoured with a copy of Bond's Waikato Almanac for 1893, and heartily congratulate the proprietor and publisher upon his production, for it is a distinct advance upon the previous issues. It is well printed, the articles contained therein are well written, and the diary this year has been considerably enlarged, and is iiDoii a superior quality of paper. Bond's Almanac Ims now become tho standard book of reference throughout the Waikato and the neighbouring counties, so we need not sing its praises ; but there are a few additions to this year's that are worthy of special mention. For instance, it has a t-ihhi of the R.M. Court, .sittings for the year, an article on Waikato coal mines ; farm and garden notes have been re-written and enlarged, and now treat of the orchaid and flower garden, as well as the farm and kitchen garden. It treats of lime as a manure, has a list of Customs tariffs, and statistical summaries of the colony for those who wish to send the publication to their friends in the Old Country. It al<o contains agricultural stitistics for the past two years, and a table of exuorts for the past ten years. These are only a few of the additions, and in other respects the almanac for 18113 will be found superior to the one for the previous year, which is quite a sufficient guarantee a.s to its quality and usefulness. We advise those who wish to obtain this useful bo :k to send their orders along, as the edition is limited.
