CATERING AT THE SHOW.
TO THK EDITOR. Sir, —As a visitor to the agricultural show held yesterday, I desire to draw the attention of the management to a matter which caused much comment amongst the visitors. I refer to the very unsatisfactory arrangements at the grand stand luncheon booth. The manner of serving the luncheon was rough in the extreme, the attendance and catering very inferior, and the charges exorbitant. In future years the management should use more discretion in selling the privileges, making sure that tho purchaser of the rights was competent to cater for a largo number, and in some way stipulate what description of meal was to be provided and what charge to be made. This may seem a matter of small moment ; but at a show where a large number from a distance attend proper and decent arrangements for obtaining solid refreshments are, in my opinion—and that of many others—a matter of very considerable importance. Thanking you, in anticipation, for your insertion of this little growl,—l am, etc., AuCIUAXDKR. October 23th, 1392.
