: * R.M. Court.—A sitting of the R.M. Court was held here on Monday last, before Capt. Jackson, R.M., when the following cases were dealt with .--Rhiud v. Godsell : Claim £18 for carriage of goods from Churchill to Awaroa. There was a dispute about the weight, and after hearing the evidence, judgment was given for plaintiff for £S, eacli party to pay their own costs.—Davis v. Leather : Claim 15a for work done. Defendant admitted liability for 10s, which was paid, the balance of fie being disputed. After the case was called, plaintiff, with considerable magnanimity, made the defendant a present of the full amount. This was all the business. Concert. — There is to be another copcert here on Monday evening next in aid of the church building fund, when some outside talent will assist and help to make an agreeable programme.
