PLUMPION COURSING CLUB.
Mb W. Rowe. of Te Aroha, is in communication with the secretary of the Auckland Metropolitan Plumpton Coursing Club with a view to the latter holding a coursing fixture in this district. The Lockerbie Estate, Morrinsville, is mentioned as the most suitable place for the meeting, provided that permission cm be obtained from the company to which the property belongs, aud we believe that application has been made for the purpose. The secretary of the club intimates in a letter just received by Mr Rowe that if satisfactory arrangement* can be made with the hotelkeepers at Waitoa and Morrinsville.as to subscription? and rates at which they would put up members of the Metropolitan Club at their hotels. They purpose getting up a big stake—two days at Waitoa and two days at Morrinsville. All who intend taking part in the coursing must be members of the Metropolitan Club to enable them to do so, and the membership fee is £1 Is, Of course, it all depends on the support which is likely to be guaranteed whether the fixture can be arranged, and all who are interested in the matter should give Mr Rowe every assistance in their power to carry eut the proposal.—Te Aroha News. _______
