(by electrio telegraph.—copyright). Melbourne, March 7The Government are discussing the possibility of affecting retrenchment in the Public Service. Brisbane, March 6. Blacks attacked Crosswell station, on the Queensland border with South Australia, and murdered Messrs Clark and Delivett. The police formed an avenging party, and overtaking the offenders, a fight ensued, in which several blacks were killed. The white men are still in pursuit. Perth, March 5. Two new lodes of surprising richness have been discovered at Murchison goldfield.
