WELLINGTON JOURNALISM.
(BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, Last Night. It is understood that the sale of the New Zealand Times was completed on Tuesday last, and a deposit of £GOO paid. t The syndicate purpose trying to float it into a limited liability company, with a capital of £10,000, in £1 shares, 10s paid up. The provisional directors, it is said, will be Messrs Ballaijce, Reeves and Warburton. Mr Reeves, it is understood, will supervise the literary department. The report that Sir Walter Buller puts in £2000 is denied, the projectors not deeming it expedient to place so large an amount in the hands of one investor. The report, however, that Sir Robert Stout takes up a thousand shares is believed to be reliable, and the late owner of the Times, it is said, also takes a thousand. The paper will, of course, be run upon advanced Liberal lines.
