ASCENT OF MOUNT EARNSHAW.
(BY TELEGRAPH. —PHKSS ASSOCIATION). ])UNEDIN, Last Night. Malcolm Ross, accompanied by his wife and brother, and Harry Birrill, a guide, completed a successful ascent to the summit of Mount Earnsliaw. At 9000 feet, the lady had to desist. Splendid photographs were obtained from the summit, the sea being visible as far as Martin's Bay. The party discovered at the summit the cairn made by Birrill in 1889, establishing the Litter's claim to being the first to scale the mountain.
