HAMILTON , V. TAUPIKI. On Saturday the above clubs met on Sydney Squire, Hamilton, and the game resulted in a win for the visitors by 30 runs on the firat innings. Taupiri, who wnn the t-iss, went to the wickets, nnd before being disposed of hud scored 80, to which Hill contributed a lucky 83, being missed no less than seven titnes. Cox and Hull also pot into double figures, with 13 and 12, respectively. Hamilton, in their first innings, only succeeded in putting together -11, to which Father O'Gara contributed 12, and extras 13. Taupiri, in thair second innings, totted up 75, bnpor being top scorer with 12. Hamilton then took tho wickets until timi) was called, lcwint? r> wickets for 15 runs. This victory leaves Taupiri in a good position for the medals, as they have recovered the ground lost by their defeat at Tuhikni-.iiiiea. lhe wicket was very fast, and several of the men received some nasty knocks with the ball, Fielder, of Hamilton, being laid out, and had to retire.
