ALEXANDRA.
Our Harvest. —Harvesting, with the Lite woather, we have experienced, has been a source of great satisfaction to our farmers. Everywhere the crops appear to be favourable, as no grumbling is heard. The Whatiwhatihoe natives have machines of their own now, ami all their crops of grain have been cut, and mo3t oE it is in stack, with leas than a dozen men in the field ; a great deal of difference to the old times with them, when to reap a small patch of wheat cost the owner more than it was worth in food to feed the crowd of natives who came to wr.rk, and more to look on. Their crop is a very good one indeed, considering the number of years the same land has been under grain cultivation.
