FATAL ACCIDENT.
(BY TIUjUGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Oamaku, Last Night. A 31 RAT truck, while tendering the ship Lutterworth, was caught by a rope from the vessel and hauled nlf the rails on to the ship's side. Five sailors wen sent aloft to mini the yard to prepare a block and tackle to lift tho truck, but the tr.iss on tho mast broke, and the y«rd fell to tho deck. A seaman, Frank Reid, was pitched head first into tho hold, and Itille;) instantly. The second m-ita was bruised, and his ankle injured, but the others escaped uuharmed.
