ABSCONDERS.
(JIY KLKOTRIU TKLEUHAPII.—COI'YBIOIIT). London - , November 19. Messrs Bloom and Douglas, ownors of the yacht Beagle, were arrested in Honolulu for having in their possession 50,000 sovereigns, alleged to be the proceeds of a bank robbery in Sydney. The accusers failed to sustain the charge, and the prisoners, who were released, have, it is believed, gone to Japan. Sydney, November 22.
With reference to the cablegram concerning the air-'st of Messrs Bloom and Douglas at Honolulu, it is believed they are identical with Messrs Bellaud Davis, the levanting directors of the Australian Mercantile Loan and Guarantee Bank, which failed recently. The yacht Beagle, which they have with them, was formerly a gunboat, She had been lying in Melbourne harbour for many years, and about tho time of the flight of the defaulting directors was purchased, ostensibly for trading purposes.
