PRIZE SHEEP.
Wk havß been favoured svr lithe particulars of the clip of Hiimn of the Luicoln sheep that were prize winners at the late Auckland Agricultural Show. Mr S. T, Seddon's champinn owe clipped 191b wool, and the pen of ton that gained fir«t honours averaged 1741b. We have Rome, samples of wool taken from these fleeces on view at this office. Mr U irupth's Ist prize- ram h'Wit under 18 months old clipped 20.J1b and the nun awarded second honour in this class clipped 211bs. Mr Rarugh's pen of ten ewe bncuets under IS months old averaged Myitis. This is an exceptionally pood yield considering that Mr Barugh iirranges bis lambinp late in the season, September. His hoggets therefore have one or two months less wool on them at Bhearine time than most breeders who prefer an earlier date for their lambing. Tho ram bought by Mr Forrest from Air Barribal of Waiuku, one of the sheep shown at tho Auckland Show, clipped 2tlbs.
