MR W. R. BRIDGMAN'S NEW SHOP.

4> A MAKKKD improvement in street architecture, in Auckland, is seen in the new shop just erected for Mr R. Hoboes, and which will be occupied by Mr W. It. Bridgman as lesssee. The latter gentleman has been in trade there for 20 years and is widely known and justly esteemed. Mr Bridgman has established a large and lucrative trade as the result of hit knowledge of and attention to his business and the excellent manner in which hu treats his customers. The new building has a concrete Hoor which is perlectly rat proof. The shop is strongly built of the best burnt bricks, neatly plastered, and lias a fine balustrade, which is supported by fluted pilasters. Above the three windows are arched pediments, and in the front are receding glass windows. The building is 24 by 44 feet, the vernudah audits ironwork supports and ornaments being tho most attractive features in the building. Mr Henderson, the well-known painter and colourman, has upheld his fame as an excellent tradesman in embellishing the interior with a wealth of green and gold. The counters are very beautifully finished and are of polished codar, while the hand rail and newel post are first rate pieces of work. The building is well lighted by the handsome glass front and louvres of the same material on tho roof. Both the upper and lower stories are lofty, oach being 10 feet high. Altogether this is a capital building and is a great improvement on the old wooden structures of former dayi. The new shop has been stocked with seasonable goods. These will be disposed of at the lowest renumerative prices for crpli. We call attention to Mr Bridgman's advertisp. ment appearing elsewhere, ami feel sure hw numerous Waikato friends and customers will, when in Auckland, give him a call.
