KIHIKIHI.

Waikato Skat. —Much interest is being taken here in the coming election, and considerable discussion lias taken place over the probable result of the contest. As the the names of those so far proposed do ii'*t meet with any approval here, it has been decided to ask Mr Andrew Kay, J.P., of Oralcnu, to offer himself as a candidate and a requisition is now being got ready, which is expected to lie numerously signed. Should that gentleman decline to contest the seat, Mr J. A. Tole is then to be referred to, as a very strong feeling is prevalent throughout the district (including Otorohanga) against the return of Mr Lake.
