R.M. COURT, HUNTLY.
Tuesday.—(Before Capt. Jackson, TC.M.) REotSA v. Collin"*.— Delivery of judgment in this case was concluded this morning, when the defendant was convicted of negligence, and fined £20 and costs £(>7 Os 3d. Tho Resident Magistrate was engaged more than four hours in delivering judgment.—Another case against the same defondant was on the list for hearing, but Mr Hay, who appeared for the Crown, applied for permission to withdraw it, which was granted. Mr Tolo applied for costs, which was refused. Anhiiew v. McUlynn.—Claim £11 and possession of tenement. The defendant had given up possession of tho tenement since the action' was brought, and offered to pay £3 -Is, the amount he admitted to be duo, which was accepted. Railway Commissioned v. Happen'.— Trespassing on the radway lino at Taupiri. Defendant was finod 5s and costs £1 Us.
Two native cases, in which Mr Tolo appeared for plaintiff and Mr Hay for defondant, were adjourned, by consent, till next court day.
