John Schi.slifi was fined forty shillings fur selliner pheasants without a license. Defendant pleaded guilty to having transferred pheasants from ono licensed house to another. Ho was a grocer by trade, and received from various persons poultry to •soil, but he was only acting as agent for a person who was licensed. The Bench held that this constituted an offence under the Act, and imposed the fine.
The cutter ■' Hiening Star " missed stays at the Huigitoto Channel, and was driven ashore and wrecked.
