THE S S. WAIHORA IN A GALE.

Melbourne, March IS. Information has reached here that the s.s. Waihora put into Waterloo Bay on Wilson's Promontory this afternoon, but tiio reason for her doing so is not Htated. Tho Waihora was on her voyage from the Bluff to Meibonrne, having left the former port on Friday last. Tho .s.s. Waihora arrived in port from Waterloo Buy this afternoon. She reports having experienced a terrific hurricane between Puy.-iOgur Point and Milford Sound. Heavy weather was also met .with during the remainder of tho voyage, which occasioned a great strain on the engines of the vessel. She put into Waterloo Cove to effect some trifling repairs to her machinery.
