London, December 7. Tin-; seocders from the Irish party will elect a committee of eight by ballot to co-operate with Mr Justiii McCarthy. The minority have passed a vote of censure on Mr Gladstone!. Mr J. J. Clancy rescinded his motion for compromise, at the request of Mr Gladstone, and a new resolution was carried omitting the reference to Mr Paniell. Cardinal Maiming has endorsed the judgment of the Irish Bishops on Mr Paniell's conduct. December 9. Mr Paniell retains control of the Parliamentary fund, which amounts to £20,000, and proceeds to Ireland to re-organise the National party. Those who seceded from Pamcll propose to establish a daily paper in Ireland, and continue the payment of members of the Irish Parliamentary porty. Messrs O'Brien and Dillon approve of Mr Justin McCarthy's appointment to the leadership, and urge that the unity of party bo restored. It is reported they intend returning to England. The Times, referring to Saturday's meeting of the Irish party, states that the dissension and violence exhibited has fully justified the most sinister prediction of an Irish legislature. The Press considers that as the Irish party has ceased to represent the majority of the people, the conflict will now be removed to Ireland.

At a meeting of the Newcastle branch of the National League, the proceedings wore ot a stormv nature. A motion that Parnell should bo requested to retire from the lealership of the Irish Parliamentary party was negatived in favour of au amendment that tho League should await further details. The following cable message has been received bj Mr Sheehan, Secretary of the Auckland Home Rule Committee whiah arranged for the reception of Messrs Dillon and Deasy and Sir Thos Esmonde during their recent visit to this city.-■•" Cause saved.
