RAGLAN MAIL SERVICE.
TO THE KniTO'R. Sill,—l notice that Mr Langley takes you to task for allowing your paper to bo madn use of by interested parties to dispaarge the new mail contractor for the Raglan service. I can quito understand how easy it is for newspapers to be victimised in this way, but really in the present instance I believe good to the travelling public will be the result. If it had not been for tho paper, there would have been no chance of stirring up a littlo commendable rivalry; as it is now both parties are on their mettles, and the public will have the satisfaction c.t beneliting by the competition, in the matter of a double coach service to and fro, and if it ciin be properly worked out, in all probability, free pannage with board and residence nominal at the other end, I throw this out as a hint, and I shall expect to see your paper made use of to publicly notify something in this directiwn.— Yours, Jtc, Tcsaiki.
