SPORTING.
SOUTH AUCKLAND RACING CLUB. Subjoined we give the nominations received by the secretary of the South Auckland Racing Club up to last night. These are chiefly the Waikato entries, and by the mail to-day he expects to receive a considerable number of entries from Auckland, which we will publish on Saturday. These entries may be considered satisfactory, and a good day's sport may be anticipated : —
Christmas Handicap.—lima, Cathleen, Lupin, Antic, Never-Miss, Valentine, Helen McGregor, Lady Marion, Too Soon, Lonely and Theorem. Handicap Hurdles. — Wide-awake, Peter, Sentinel and Theorem. South Auckland Cup.—lima, Lupin, Clarion, Leorina, Belmont, Lochness and Haricot.
' Steeplechase.—Orange Lightning, Pater, Sentinel, The Pirate. Tradesman's Plate. — lima, Lupin, Cathleen, Clarion, Leorina, Haricot, Lonely, Mararoa, Belmont, Pretender, Scott .Free.
Flying Stakes.—lima, Helen McOregor, Lady Marion, Cathleen, Never-Miss, Too Soon, Belmont, Pretender, Valentine, Scott Free, and Haricot.
