PETROLEUM WORKS.
(BY TELEGRAPH—rRKSS ASSOCIATION.) New Plymouth, Last Night. Mb Makvin, writing to Mr Samuel about Petroleum on August 12th says that the syndicate's head driller, Mr Booth, with another expert from Canada, is ready to leave London for New Plymouth in a few days, taking with them machinery and special tools adapted for New Zealand oil workine. Mr Adams, an oil expert, who was in the colony at the beginning of the year, has been communicated with. Mr Booth will be appointed general manager of the company in New Zealand.
