A DEPUTATION from the Chiimber of Commerce waited on Mr Mitcholson re the San Francisco mail, ami Mr Mitchelson promised to resist the extension of the contract lime beyond twenty days, which would prevent the contractors availing themselves of the right to substitute Wellington for Auckland as the port of call.
