"That it is desirable that employers not members of the Union at once join, and that all interested, directly or indirectly, be called upon to express sympathy in a practical manner." ,; " That as the shipowners and others connected with maritime labour are fighting the battles of all employers against aggressive unionism, it is agreed to subscribe to a fund to assist them." " That this meeting condemns the system of boycotting practised by the representatives of trade unionism, not only as against employers, but also as against union and nonunion fellow-workmen, as a violation of personal liberty, and antagonistic to the best interests of the Australian colonies/'
