The House mot at 2.30 p.m. Mr Rhodes brought up the report of the Kreo Conference of both Houses on the Coroners' Inquest Bill. The principal alteration made in the Bill was that relating to the pay <i£ coroners' juries. The conference had altered the Bill so as to provide for these jurors being paid f>s pur day instead of 7s od, as passed by the House, and that os should be paid for a half-day. The repni t was adopted. In replying to Mr Cadirian Mr Russell said the Government did not intend to commemorate the Jubilee year of the colony bv releasing a number of prisoners. (In the motion for going into Committee nf Supply, Mr Verrall moved an amendment aitirming the desirableness of establishing a State bank. The debate was interrupted by the 5.30 p.m. adjournment.
