LATEST AUCKLAND NEWS.
[BY TETiEGUArH—OWN COIUIESI'ONDENT.] Auckland, Last Night. The easterly pale continues, but no serious damage is reported.
Influenza is prevalent and a good many people are down with it, but it is only of a mild form. The new incumbent and organist of Epiphany Church are both down with the malady. Mr Jas. Outlaw, a member of the Native Rose Football Club, had his leg broken in two places by a kick from another player on Saturday.
It is blowing fresh from northward, with steady rain, and it is believed that the Hhiemoa, with Lady Onslaw on board, has taken shelter at the Barrier, or on the coast.
Captain Saville, the Governor's A.D.C., leaves for Japan by tho Waihora to-mor-row, and hopes to return to New Zealand in about six months.
