TE AROHA.

Election of Licensing Commissioners.— On perusal of the County roll (which it appears was not in possession of the returning officer on the day of nomination), the returning officer has discovered that the nomination of Messrs E. Gallagher, C. Ahiur, W. Hetherington, and YV. Dibsell were irregular owing to the fact that the electors who signed the nomination papers were disqualified, their names not being on the County roll. The returning officer is now in communication with the Colonial Secretary, and there is no doubt the Government will appoint the five persons who held office last year.
