[by telegraph.—press association. I Wellington, Friday. The Mahakipawa, Waikakaho, Kaipai, Lucky Hit and Jubilee claims on the Mahakipawa goldfields have been acquired from the present proprietors, by an English Company with a subscribed capital o £12,000, the original proprietors retaining an equal interost. Immediate steps are to be taken for the development of tho claims, and it is expected that crushing operations, for which a large battery is to be ereected, will commence about July.
