WAIKATO HORTICULTURAL SHOW AT TE AWAMUTU.
In another column appoars a list of the special prizes. The value of them already exceeds £30 and as the list is by no means closed, it would look as if Te Awamutu were likely to have a very important and representative) exhibition on next St. Patrick's Day. Tho judges of dairy produce and bread (oread, butter and cheese,) together with grain, roots and vegetables, are Mr Isaac Hodgson and Mr Henry Reynolds, who have consented to act conjointly. Mr Mayo, of Drury, will lie oue (of possibly two judsr.is) of fruit and flowers, while of articles of native manufacture (for native exhibitors only), the committee hope to secure the services of a gentleman of high rank in the Native Land Courts, together al:o with those of a Native Assessor. We notice that two special prizes are also offered for native dressed flax. Arrangements have been already made with the Railway Traffic Department, by which visitors from Auckland and intermediate stations will be conveyed to Te Awamutu at cheap fares, trom S iturday, 15th March, available till Wednesday. 19ch March, together with special train from Franktnn Junction on 17th March, in connection with ordinary train from Cambridge, reaching To Awiimutu about 11 a.m., and special train Te Awamutu to Cambridge about l> p.m. It will thus be seen that the committee have been inont energetic in completing all the preliminary arrangements, and that they are already well in advance of their work. The lion, secretary of the show committee, Mr Gresham, will feel obliged if donors of spocial prize money will remit same to Mr G. A. Burgess, agent Bank of New Zealand. Te Awamutu.
