SEIZED BY AN OCTOPUS.

« [by telegraph.—press association.] Tijiaeu, Last Night. A DIVEU named Collins, working under about 20 feet of water on Saturday at a slip way, was seized by an octopus, Oft. Gin. spread, which also got hold of the timbers of the slip. Collins had the presence of mind, on seeing the creature coming, to extend his arms to avoid having them pinned, and was able, though with difficulty, to pull himself away on the life line, and walk to and climb up his ladder with the octopus around him.
