HAMILTON ROAD BOARD .
Thk ordinary monthly mooting of the Hamilton Road Board was held on Saturday,-Ith iust. Present: Messrs Jones (chairman), Maunder, Exelby, and Qualtrongh. Mr Fitzroy Peacocks wrote, calling the attention of the Board to the condition of the road leading to his farm, and suegesting a drain be placed across the road at the cutting, near Mr Riddler's farm. The Chairman stated that the letter was received on the 13th December last, and as it was necessary that tho work bo done without dealay, he had authorised Mr Peacock to get the repaiis done, the cost not to exceed £1. —Resolved: "That the action of Chairman in respect to tho repairs necessary on the road referred to by Mr Peaccicke in his letter of 13th December, be now confirmed.—Resolved : "That letters be written to the owners of Lots 7 and 8, Pukete, re the furze on the road adjoining, known as O'B. i»n's Road, notifying that the furze would have to be temoved in accordance with the act.—Tho following accounts were- passed for payment: —li. Rogers, repairs, £1; Engineer. £0 3s Cd.
